What is the E-Business Monitor benchmark?
The E-Business Monitor consists of digital marketing professionals who anonymously share relevant information. Each participant can benchmark their own performance against the performance of all or some of the other participating companies.
How does the E-Business Monitor add value?
The E-Business Monitor helps you benchmark, analyze and improve the operational performance of your E-Business channels. The E-Business Monitor is for E-Business executives willing to challenge the norm, to build successful (e)businesses and lead the way.
How does the E-Business Monitor benchmark work?
The E-Business Monitor allows you and your organization to benchmark E-Business performance internally and against other organizations. The E-Business Monitor is a framework of measurable performance indicators. These metrics indicate the overall performance of your organization and the departments within your organization.
When your organization joins the E-Business Monitor, you need to enter data for all of the topics. You can than compare your performance against all, or a subset, of the database of participants. Benchmarking results are presented directly online. You will get an instant overview of where your organization is, and how you can improve.
You can compare your organization against all participants globally or filter to compare against based on geography, department, focus, size and other key factors.
Results will only be displayed when a minimum of 6 participants meet your criteria.
Is my data secure?
Yes, absolutely! We are serious about protecting all data and personal information submitted by participants companies. We guarantee the confidentiality of all figures requested, and also that these will not in any case be disclosed to others. Your individual data will never be used for any other puspose than benchmarking. See also our Terms and Conditions.
Can you or other participants see my data?
No, you are the only one who can see your specific data. Other Premium Members can only see aggregated data and cannot match data to any specific organization. When using the benchmarking filters, a minimum of six participants of aggregated data is presented to protect the information of any single participant.
How is the benchmarking data displayed?
E-Business Monitor offers two options: data presentation in a table format or graphical presentation. Benchmarking data can be viewed directly online.
Can I select which organizations to benchmark with?
Yes. You can apply custom filters to do this. You can select based on attributes (geography, size, department, focus, etc.) for comparison. Filtering gives you the ultimate benchmarking tool where you decide the most important comparison factors.
You can also create a fully custom benchmark by selecting a minimum of 6 participating companies for benchmarking.
How often does the data change?
The E-Business Monitor is always current and growing. With every new participant, more data is entered and the power of your benchmarking grows. This also means that with every participant the E-Business Monitor Index – the average of all global participants will change.
You have the opportunity to re-take the E-Business Monitor Benchmark after 6 months. Giving you an insight in your own progress. By applying the custom filters, you can compare years to each other.
What kind of data do I need to enter?
The E-Business Monitor has qualitative and quantative topics. Generally the information will be readily available to you internally. On average you will need about 25-45 minutes to enter all the data in the E-Business Monitor.
Can more than one person from our organization use the system?
Yes, you can have multiple participants in the E-Business Monitor. When your organization has more then 5 participants, we recommend upgrading to professional membership. You will get access to the MyCompany tab, aggregating the results of all your organizations participants. See also our membership FAQ.
